Staying healthy, learning successfully

The Samuel Foundation in New Delhi has organised a comprehensive medical check-up camp for all students at its centres for technical education in Uttam Nagar and Garhi. The initiative emphasises the foundation's long-term commitment to the holistic development of young people. For the Samuel Foundation, education does not only refer to professional qualifications, but also to the promotion of healthy, self-confident and resilient personalities.

The medical check-up day was carefully planned by our team in Delhi to enable all students to undergo a professional examination in a supportive and respectful environment. Health checks, diagnostic tests, personal consultations and dental examinations were carried out during the camp. Participants received practical advice on balanced nutrition, physical fitness, hygiene and prevention.

For many families with whom the foundation works, the health check-ups offered by the foundation close a gap in health care provision. This is because access to regular medical care is limited for many people in India. While state services are very busy and involve long waiting times, privately paid alternatives are many times unaffordable for the families of our students which leads to necessary treatments being postponed or not carried out at all.

Thanks to close cooperation with committed partners, the Samuel Foundation invests not only in education, but also in healthy prospects for the future of the younger generation. We would like to express our sincere thanks to Max Hospital, Clove Dental and Bio City Health Care for their valuable support in implementing this initiative.
