The Samuel Foundation in Thailand
Sun, beach and palm trees. For many Europeans Thailand is a holiday paradise. For many of the country’s population it is a country without hope. In many cases, the people who live in the countryside have no chance to put an end to their poverty.
Their only battle is that of survival. It is for this reason that the Samuel Foundation became active in the rural areas in the north of the country. The Foundation’s training centre is based in Sermngam, which is a three-hour drive from the region’s capital Chiang Mai.
