The Samuel Foundation in Nicaragua
The times of civil war in Nicaragua are thankfully
long gone. Nevertheless, it has taken the country a long time to recover
from the aftermath. The social reconciliation and the economic recovery
need time. One of the most difficult hurdles in the process
of normalization
was the integration of the thousands of soldiers
back into the civil working world. The Foundation has been providing
gratuitous training programmes for mechanical, technical and service
occupations for young people since 1988.
