The Samuel Foundation in Costa Rica
Costa Rica is often referred to as the
Middle American Switzerland. In fact, not having its own army and
not having experienced any wars so far, this country is comparatively
wealthy. However, there is another side to the story: every fifth
family lives in poverty.
The Samuel Foundation is active in San José, the country's
capital, and helps socially deprived adolescents to break away from
the vicious circle of poverty.

History
Costa Rica represents the Samuel Foundation's first step into international relief work which took place in 1986. The first project came about through personal contact. More>>
