The Samuel Foundation is currently training young people from socially disadvantaged backgrounds in four areas at their vocational training centre in San José: Car mechanics, refrigeration and air conditioning, accounting and administrative assistance.
For about 250 young people a year, the training centre in San José is the starting point of a better life. The site is easily accessible on Calle Blancos, close to the centre and covers an area of 3,500 square metres. Not least thanks to many co-sponsors, the centre is equipped with the latest equipment, training materials and tools that enable high quality training.
A modern training centre as a centre of learning
The building complex comprises nine classrooms, two computer training rooms, two training workshops, a covered multi-purpose area of 400 square metres, an administrative building and a canteen. Under the direction of an executive director and an academic director, 24 employees are currently working for the Foundation in San José.
